Botulinum Toxin, commonly referred to as BOTOX, is a highly potent neurotoxic protein. This neurotoxic protein has various types, labeled from A to G. What we use is Botulinum toxin A, commonly applied for medical and cosmetic purposes.

BOTOX is the commercial name of Botulinum Toxin marketed by Allergan. It operates by reducing the contraction of the injected muscles, thereby resulting in a substantial reduction in wrinkles.

BOTOX works best for Dynamic Wrinkles. ie. Wrinkles that form on making an expression. These are lines that normally appear when you frown, raise your eyebrows, laugh, smile, cry or during movement of deep contraction.

BOTOX doesn’t work for Static Wrinkles. ie. Wrinkles that are seen even when you are not making any facial expressions.
